Architecture, appropriate to girls moves a lot . .
Within the frame of a regional project for addiction prevention, founded by federal and national sources, the girls youth center ‘Amazone’ developed a concept with various activities for preventing alcohol abuse for girls.

A mobile non-alcoholic cocktailbar, for mobile and stationary use became a fashionable and attractive alternative to the generally alcohol dominated bars and pubs. The new bar, usually located in the girls youth center, works also as a mobile bar for outdoor events. During the process it turned out, that not only the bar, but the entire room at the center needs urgent renovation. So an interior design was commissioned fitting to the bar and to the new graphic design and identity of the center.

Together with girls aged between 14 to 18 years, we have been arranging creativity workshops and research tours for analyzing other bars. The girls were involved in development and design from the beginning. They had the opportunity to learn about architectural work and experienced the joy of do-it-yourself. The female architects became a role model for creative and technical professions.
